100% Grass-Fed, Non-GMO, Antibiotic Free Tallow
Most tallow you find is hard at room temperature but ours separates itself with its soft, easy to use texture! It is our strong opinion that tallow is…tallow. It SHOULD look and smell like tallow. We do not continually refine the tallow to purify it to a completely unscented and white color. We believe that dry rendering once and then straining the product three rounds is the best way to achieve the most nutrient rich and high quality tallow you can use. The smell to our tallow is very minimal but to say it completely odorless would be a reach. The color of our tallow varies from a white to a yellow because we use 100% grass fed suet. Therefore, the characteristics of every batch will be similar but not identical. While, purifying the tallow multiple times might be more appealing the drawbacks of the process outweigh the recognized benefits!
Stored in freezer almost indefinitely or shelf stable for 3-12 months depending on the environment.
The suet is sourced in the USA and then rendered in small batches by us. It comes from a family-owned business that takes pride in raising cattle ethically. They focus on regenerative farming, no hormones, no antibiotics, and non-GMO. They are transparent and humane in the harvesting of their animals.
We package in a glass jar as it provides the best air and moisture free storage.
